Finding out about Trackbacks

When I started blogging, I thought the exercise would be very sporadic.  I figured that I’d learn about the software and systems fairly quickly.  I assumed that, since I considered myself above average in terms of knowledge of computer systems and web publishing, the mists shrouding the blogosphere would clear and allow me clear view and expertise in how this all works.  Wrong…..

Testing out BlogDesk

This’ll be a nonsense post. I’m checking out all the features of BlogDesk. I’ve already seen how a local picture file can be inserted DSC 0222into the blog post such as can bee seen here.

This is my son, Evan, and I at his grad last summer. The picture insertion dialogue allows for cropping, rotation, and adjustment of JPEG quality which is very cool. Other features let you add a border, a shadow (shown here) change the colour depth and even change to greyscale. Once the picture is in the post, all these settings can be changed.
