The fall chill was definitely in the air these past two weekends at our summer home. The lake season is very quickly coming to an end – way before I am ready for it. Why is it that the warm weather seems to fly by?  We had our, what by now is becoming annual, turkey dinner on September 27.  We invited most everyone around our trailer and had 21 for the feast. The days are definitely getting shorter… and cooler.  These last few have started off in the single digits – brrr.  While I hope that we still have a few bonus warm days – hopefully on the weekends – summer is quickly drawing to a close here in Eastern Ontario.

We are heading out to the lake this evening after work.  Friday, we’re taking as a day off.  We have plans to start some of the tasks required to close up for the season.  Our campground closes for the year after the Thanksgiving weekend so there are only a few weekends left.  The first think I must do is get our boat prepped for winter storage.
