Could somebody get the phone?

At the office, we have a pretty cool phone system. When I was investigating what was available for phones in 2005 when we moved to this location, I thought I’d be looking at Bell and that was about it. Our landlord, James Locke, told me I should look at this local company who made a really great phone management system that did not cost an arm and a leg. He told me you could install it yourself, use ordinary phones, and configure it with a computer across your network. The system included voicemail too! I was immediately interested, especially when I heard how little it cost. (more…)

Sloppy weather

So here’s something that makes one shake one’s head and wonder what the hell people are thinking. It’s snowing outside; that fine, soft wet snow that partially melts when it hits the pavement. The temperature is around -5 celcius. And the city is playing bumper cars on the roads and highways. It looks like about 5 centimeters have fallen this afternoon and I swear, that at 7pm, people were still in a gridlock.
